(my final reply to the thread)
Hi!
Thanks again to all of you who replied to my original post. 22 replies, it’s a lot! Given the required investment of time & money for the MBA, it is very important for me to plan ahead and make the most out of the program. As Kedar pointed out in his last message, in 6 months there is plenty of time both for preparing by learning and preparing by relaxing. Let me write down some of the ideas I got from your answers and that I will certainly apply. I hope they might help someone:

Preparing by learning and working:
- *Network at home so it can help in London and after the MBA
- *Work on my microeconomics and finance. I have a considerable area of improvement in these subjects.
- *Read about how to effectively work in study groups. Any suggestions on what to read?
- *Develop a habit to read financial news. I already read the economist, and considering a subscription to FT.
- *Focus on what are my expectations from the MBA.
Books I am reading now or in the next two months:
- *”The essential Drucker” and “Management Challenges for the 21st Century” both by Peter F. Drucker, arguably the most influential management writer of last century.
- *”The 12 Bad Habits That Hold Good People Back” J.Waldroop & T.Butler. Very challenging and insightful.
- *”Managing With Power” Jeffrey Pfeffer
- *Jack Welch’s “Winning”.
Trips I am considering: Given that I have already traveled for one month in Australia (paradise on Earth for me, do dive in the Great Barrier Reef diving fans!), I am planning on discovering India and Japan. It will depend on the budget…
Again, thanks to all for the replies, and please, do not hesitate to post any more suggestions if you have them!

If you hit India, look me up. If not, I look forward to seeing you in London
